About Us

Founded in 2003, the Youth Sports Alliance supports sports activities for youth in Summit and Wasatch counties, promoting good sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles through participation, education and competition. Whether recreational participants or elite athletes aspiring to be world-class competitors; involvement in sports programs builds character in a positive, structured environment. In addition to providing opportunities to participate, YSA encourages all athletes to adopt and embrace the SPORT, our core values: Sportsmanship, Perseverance, Optimism, Respect, and Teamwork.

The Alliance supports nine member teams, the Get Out & Play after-school programs, and scholarships for junior athletes. Programs range from "learn to" programs that keep kids active, to support for teenagers aspiring to Olympic or National Team status and NCAA competition. We award more than 60 competitive and 160 introductory scholarships each year, and in total, over 2200 kids participate in YSA programs annually.
